The job:
We are looking for an experienced logistics coordinator to manage all aspects of logistics throughout our supply chain. You will be responsible for organizing and providing efficient transportation and storage solutions for the entire lifecycle of our products, from acquisition to final product distribution. This includes customer service responsibilities, with regular communication with our clients.
This role will be the one to coordinate processes with all stakeholders, including suppliers, freight companies, customs brokers, and warehouses to achieve the effective distribution of goods. Materials will be shipped via ocean container, truck, rail, and at times air freight. You will work with a global team within FNF that will help support the role.
Tasks:
– Source, negotiate, book freight as required; manage freight portfolio
– Primary point of contact for customer delivery updates, adding value where possible
– Expedite shipments, update stakeholders, manage / submit customs
– Collaborate with customers and internal parties to maximize customer satisfaction
– Analyze and optimize logistical procedures, manage database of rates and contacts
– Supply shipping/receiving information to warehouses and freight companies
This is you:
You have a proven track record in the logistics field. And you have the capacity to manage numerous high demand tasks and projects and can prioritize your days accordingly with little oversight. You are well-versed in supply management principles and can ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. We also expect you to be able to promptly resolve distribution issues and have strong negotiation skills. Your goal is to always ensure customer satisfaction.
Logistics Specialist
Ontario, Canada – Remote
It’s preferrable if you have experience with ocean container shipments, working knowledge of
INCO terms, Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, and or be well versed with local North American trucking.
You also bring with you:
– Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
– Experience working with FDA, AFIA, CFIA, or other agricultural industry groups
– Good command of MS Office, especially Excel, and ability to quickly learn new software
– BSc/BA or College Diploma in business administration, supply chain management, or related field plus 5-10 years relevant experience

8am to 5pm eastern time, although we do not believe in a 9-to-5 mentality. With us, you have the freedom to be your own time manager. (Sporadic after-hours emails or calls may need attention in special circumstances.)
