The Senior Project Manager (full-time, permanent) will be responsible for providing overall guidance and management for one or more complex construction projects and ensuring compliance with Client requirements. The Senior Project Manager will ensure that all operations are compliant with internal Company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtains technical guidance required to support Project technical issues and provides guidance to field teams as needed
• Prepares and submits ROI’s and similar documents to obtain a response to technical question from Client and/or Engineer
• Ensure preparation and transmittal of submittals required for approval of technical issues, vendor documents, and material information
• Ensure tracking and collection of quality documents and provides correction of and proper documentation of field quality issues
• Prepare and updates project schedules, prepares recovery schedule when required, publishes schedules as requires for Clients and/or Company, including narrative schedule analysis of critical schedule elements
• Prepare budgets, tracks and analyzes costs, forecast, develop plans for improving cost performance, works with construction supervision to implement changes
• Supports estimating team during estimate preparation and provides supporting documents to help estimating, inclusive of but not limited to: execution narratives, and other construction plans
• Read, review and understand contract content and requirements. Able to instruct and inform other of contract requirements
• Communicate with/or supervises communication with client concerning changes in contract scope or terms with goal to obtain appropriate change order
• Ensure preparation and submittal of necessary change order information to client and negotiate
• Manage materials and subcontracts from pre-qualification, bidding packages, negotiation, tracking, coordinating mobilization, managing performance, etc.
• Tracks , expedites, and coordinates subcontractor submittals, mobilization and monitors subcontractor progress in accordance with the subcontract terms and takes action to correct subcontractor performance if issues are discovered
• General management and reporting of all projects within scop inclusive of but not limited to: daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, project kick-off and closeout meetings, plan modifications
• Tracks and manages overall changes in Projects and acts to prevent potentially negative HSE, quality, Cost, Schedule, etc with reports as required
• Other projects & duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Project Management, an engineering discipline related to the company’s work, or similar technical degree
• Minimum of ten (10) years related work experience or combination of education and years’ experience will be considered
• Experience leading construction projects such as electrical transmission, pipeline, or transmission, is preferred
• Managing projects with contract values of at least $10 million is preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of main construction office processes; project set-up; takeoff; subcontract management; change orders; RFI’s; closeout
• Proven experience with providing direction and managing multiple staff and concurrent projects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Able and willing to frequently travel to remote project locations with work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/on-site work schedules
• Employment is contingent upon presenting a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
