THE ROLE:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the software development for various next-generation connected Ford vehicles. Connected vehicles are quickly becoming the new norm in the automotive industry and you will be part of the team that delivers the core of those capabilities. The Ford In-House System Platform Team is composed of highly skilled individuals who are comfortable working in a fast paced and technically challenging environment. Members are involved in the development of software for our next generation automotive, with emphasis in middleware application development that connect various Ford Electronic Control Units together.
YOUR IMPACT:
Work in Agile software development environment to create robust, high coverage test suites
Design, implement, debug, test and maintain test automation using python
Manage test suites, test builds, and test validation reports
Perform manual test to assist software development
Share ideas for innovation and process improvements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering or related technical area (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
1+ years’ experience with testing and python development
Experience with software development and work through the development lifecycle
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant Master’s degree
Ability to work in a multi-site team environment
Proven ability for troubleshooting and problem solving
Working knowledge of AUTOSAR, CAN technologies, automotive diagnostic protocols
Proactive and interested in learning new tools and technologies
Multi-threading & IPC knowledge
Experience with build system (Jenkins), source control system (GitHub), and defect tracking system (JIRA)
Solid verbal and written communication skills
