THE ROLE:
The Architecture and Software Platform group is responsible for the software platform that enables connectivity and advanced application features within next generation Ford vehicles. The team is designing and building the next generation software platform for the FNV4 vehicle architecture structured around high-performance compute clusters and zonal aggregators.
Working as a member of the software platform development and test team, the successful candidate will be involved in execution of automated tests as well as conducting manual tests of the Vehicle Diagnostics software and reporting and tracking defects.
YOUR IMPACT:
Develop, review and document test plans of software components, including those related to Vehicle Diagnostics
Execution of automated tests
Conduct manual tests
Defect reporting and tracking
Triage, troubleshooting and defect root cause analysis
Design and Develop automated tests
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
3+ years of experience with SW and Unit testing
Experience with manual, automated, and performance test tools and scripts
Experience using defect tracking systems (JIRA preferred)
Experience using test management tools for test design, execution, and traceability
Experience with analyzing logs and root cause analysis
Detail oriented and adept at detecting and diagnosing software defects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-site team environment where self-driven and self-motivate capabilities are key qualities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience with developing automation tests using Python
Experience with CAN protocol testing including CAN FD
Excellent understanding of the diagnostic protocols UDS (ISO 14229-1), DoIP (ISO 13400-2)
Familiar with OBD-II SAE standards (SAE J1962, J1979)
Familiar with AUTOSAR Classic Diagnostic stack (DEM,DCM,DoIP,PDUR)
Familiar with AUTOSAR Classic development tool chain
