JOB DESCRIPTION
Forests Ontario is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Barrie, ON. The AP Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions in alignment with internal procedures and requirements. This position will report to the Director, Admin and Finance and be responsible for AP reporting and other work as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work closely with Director, Admin and Finance, Office Administration, and Business Development team to support reporting needs.
· Work directly with external accounting staff, coordinate the processing and management of AP and credit cards.
· Work with accounting software including: Quickbooks Desktop, Dext, SalesForce, etc
· Communicate with Forests Ontario staff, external staff/contractors, partners, accounting firms, clients, and the general public.
· Maintain accounts payable records.
· Post payables.
· Co-ordinate and process expense reports.
· Prepare monthly financial reports.
· Coding all operating payables, data entry, data management.
· Maintain records of financial transactions.
· Assist in the preparation of year-end financial reports.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
· 1+ years experience in accounts payable or equivalent life experience.
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
· Strong attention to detail;
· Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of partners, clients, and stakeholders;
· Experience in the MS Office suite, database applications, online meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, WebEx);
· Problem solving, organization, and decision making skills;
· Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills.
ADDITIONAL ASSESTS
· Experience with Quickbooks, Salesforce, Dext software;
· French language proficient;
· Valid G Driver’s License.
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Will be based on years of relevant experience and qualifications
