Working in the dynamic environment of Four Seasons global headquarters, the New Business Director is responsible concepting, prototyping, launching, and incubating new growth/business opportunities that will expand Four Seasons brand reach to deliver sustainable incremental revenue and build equity. The successful candidate will be the cross functional lead for emerging businesses through the incubation phase, including strategy, commercialization, growth, and performance of the business. The role will also be responsible for development of a roadmap of future and disruptive business opportunities rooted in data and insight/foresight, as well as the strategic assessment of ad hoc initiatives. This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and New Business. This role involves interactions with internal stakeholders at all levels, as well as external partners and vendors.
Key Activities
Development of Strategic Model and Approach:
Lead commercialization strategy and development of ways of working for New Businesses
Work closely with internal teams such as Marketing & Sales, Insights, and Operations to ensure the business is well-positioned to succeed
Champion guest centric and data driven thinking into commercial approach
Cross-functional and Partner Leadership:
Own and manage relations with Operations, internal stakeholders and third-party vendors that support the delivery of the new business
Lead growth strategy and performance delivery:
Grow the business to a level of stability and maturity, ready to be handed over to be scaled
Manage the P&L and other commercial performance metrics for the new businesses, including defining the growth strategy and roadmap for the business through its incubation and initial growth phase
Use data and guest driven insight to unlock growth
Commercial strategy and governance:
Working collaboratively with vendors/partner and internal teams, lead commercial planning and governance on behalf of Four Seasons
Develop toolkit, framework, guidelines and governance structure specifically for new business strategies and activations

Strong computer skills in a PC and MAC environment including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and adept at learning new applications
Highly results oriented with experience increasing top line revenue and driving ROI
Experience, Education and Professional Qualifications
College or University degree, preferably in a business program. MBA an asset.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a corporate commercial/strategy role
Experience building, incubating and scaling businesses
Building structure and strategic approach, working through ambiguity
Previous management experience in commercially oriented corporate/brand strategy
Entrepreneurial experience or demonstrated ability to build and scale businesses
Strong strategic, analytical and commercial background
Breadth of industry experience across different hospitality verticals an asset
Global commercial experience preferred
