What You’ve Accomplished
You have completed a BS in Chemical Engineering or related discipline and are registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT). You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have strong technical problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, have worked in an engineering role for at least 0-2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
Analysis and qualification of Chemical Processes.
Experience in process engineering and design review processes.
Familiarity with engineering software tools, such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, MicroShield.
Ability to prepare and/or provide critical peer review of various engineering calculations and reports.
Must be eligible for Nuclear Site Access Security Clearance at Canadian and US based utilities prior to start of work
Your Opportunity
This role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Early Career Chemical Engineer in Pickering, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Under general supervision, performs varied and difficult engineering tasks requiring application of established techniques and procedures. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff. Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing and maintaining structures, systems and components. Provides engineering advice, as needed.
Performs routine and non-routine engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
Solves a range of straight forward problems, analyzes solutions and assesses each using standard procedures.
Receives assistance and instructions on unusual or more complex features and possible solutions, as needed.
Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
Builds knowledge of organization processes and customers.
Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product lifecycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
