Detailed Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Programs or designate this position records unit admissions, discharges, and transfers, and reports this information to the Admitting Department. Provides reception and clerical functions to assigned units, prints daily flowsheets and staffing rotations, transcribes assignments, and schedules appointments for patient/resident activities. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of patients/residents and families, and to support the Hospital philosophy, vision, and mission, including supporting an environment of patient/resident-focused care, patient/resident choice, individualized routines, patient/resident and family involvement in care decisions, and continuity and consistency of care. Qualifications: Education and Experience
Grade 12 and graduation from an approved Nursing Unit Clerk program, plus one (1) year’s recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
