Fresenius Kabi Canada is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our team!
The Impact You Will Make:
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain & Customer Service, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for successfully executing the supply plan for a diverse range of products to meet Fresenius Kabi’s growing demand. The Supply Chain Manager leads the Supply Chain Planning team (4 Planners) and is responsible for the management of the global supplier base. This includes both Fresenius Kabi plants as well as contract manufacturing sites.
The Supply Chain Manager helps define and implement the departmental strategic plan and ensures that all policies and procedures support the plan. The Supply Chain Manager fosters dynamic, engaged relationships with Supply Chain team members, providing leadership, support, and direction in the completion of their daily responsibilities, and creates pathways for personal growth and success.
Partner with the global supply network to align supply and demand plans, set service level targets, and collaborate to overcome challenges. Strong negotiating skills are required to ensure Canadian priorities are understood and met.
Provide leadership to the supply chain planning team and ensure effective planning and communication is utilized both internally and externally. This includes continuous improvement on processes and strategy that will drive efficiencies and results for the organization.
Responsible for building and maintaining a supply strategy that meets the needs of the business and our patients. This includes ensuring accurate data maintenance of SAP APO and ERP to ensure proper stock levels to limit the risk of inventory obsolescence. A strong understanding of APO functionality (including statistical forecasting) and ERP (including re-order point planning) is required.
Collaborate with regional marketing to ensure accuracy of forecasts and maintenance of safety levels according to agreed upon variables.
Facilitate the regional relationship with the global supply chain group to ensure Key Performance Indicators are understood and targets are achieved.
Maintain transportation lane qualifications for inbound logistics according to local SOPs which align with GDP and GUI 0069 principles. This includes a strong alignment with the local Quality Assurance department to meet Health Canada commitments.
Accountable to enhance cash flow activities. This includes annual budgeting activities as well as maintaining a monthly supply forecast exercise. This also includes the proper review and reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.
What You’ll Bring
Experience. You possess a Bachelor’s degree and/or college diploma in business operations or another relevant field. You have a minimum 5 years’ working experience in supply chain or materials management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. You have progressive team management or supervisory experience over 3 or more years.
Knowledge. Knowledge of procedures and methods related to logistics, transportation and warehousing including Customs Act and regulations, Health Canada Guide (GUI-0069), GMP (GUI-0001),
Technical experience. You are an SAP super-user, especially in the MM, SD,WM and APO modules. You are proficient in Microsoft® Office, PowerPoint and Excel. CITT or CIFFA designation is an asset; completed or enrolled in APICS (CPIM) and/or SCMA (SCMP) certification programs recommended.
Problem-solving. Your analytical skills, critical thinking and decision-making skills are superior, and you take a data-oriented approach to problem-solving. You identify and assess issues/ problems and present solutions with a process-improvement mindset.
Communication & Presentation. You have above average interpersonal skills, and are able to foster effective relationships and provide coaching and mentoring to your direct reports. You are a skilled leader and able to effectively communicate both written and verbally, cross-functionally, and in collaboration with all levels both inside and outside the organization.
Attitude & Passion. You are self-motivated, possess initiative, and thrive on continuous improvement. You have proven your ability to adhere to standards and procedures and maintain confidentiality.
