As one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for an A/R & CSR Support to join our growing team. The contract is 1 year with possibility of extension. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the job holder handles day-to-day accounts receivable and customer service activities within the department.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
- Maintaining A/R – ensuring routine payments are received in a timely manner
- Conducting calls, and potential visits to customers
- Processing invoices via ERP Program and customer EDI systems
- Investigating and following up on customer claims
- Preparing bank deposits & daily posting of cash payments
- Reconciling invoices with accounts
- Ensuring weekly and bi-monthly statements are sent out in a timely manner
- Liaising and working with the Sales Team on problem accounts
Customer Service Support:
- Relief coverage reception desk & Data Entry when required (shifts may include mornings, weekends, and holidays)
- Data entry work including processing invoices, credit notes & other accounting documents and updating records
- Assisting the Sales team in taking/entering orders when they are unavailable
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Post Secondary diploma in Accounting an asset
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in an accounting environment preferred
- Computer proficiency with advanced experience with MS Excel and other Office programs
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and meticulous
- Must be a team player and be able to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Own transportation required
