The Opportunity
Frisoni Mechanical Inc is looking for a People Operations and Human Coordinator Specialist, Full-Time, Permanent.
Given the nature of the industry and its essential status this job will require you to commute into the office effective your start day.
Our office is located at 255 Carrier Drive, Unit 2 Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 5Y8
In partnership with the President, you will:
- Lead the planning, execution and people management initiatives at the company to foster an environment of development, growth, ongoing opportunities and honesty.
- Will lead the recruitment and planning of staffing initiatives, the culture and team building initiatives and activities when appropriate including planning an annual holiday party, plan company-wide meetings, distribute company-wide announcements, supporting systematizing scheduling, salary structure, bonus structure, vacation memos, performance reviews, WSIB Claims, Health and Safety Committee and manage staff turn-over.
- You will work collaboratively to develop and maintaining an agile structure for the staff to have a high functioning and inclusive environment and lead our health and safety inanities and mandates.
- You will work with the IT team to manage the Frisoni Mechanical brand including all digitals.
- You will play a role in developing our people and hiring policies, onboarding processes, and be responsible for overseeing performance related to accountability, insurance updates, professionalism, and outcomes, including resource allocation and overall professional development of each member of the team.
Qualifications

- Successful completion of a degree or certificate in Human Resources and/or relevant CHRP designation with other field of study.
- Interest in marketing and public relations including dealing with Human Resources request, conflicts.
- At least 1-2 years of progressive work experience or co-op experience in a trade’s environment.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, coordinating all required safety certifications for field staff WHMIS, Working at Heights, Elevated Platforms, 4 Steps Awareness, CPR along with leading the scheduling/coordination of responsibilities for the health and safety committee.
- Strong desire to learn about mechanical systems within the construction industry and the trades industry standards and best practices.
- Strong ethics, accountability, time-management, and facilitation skills, with the ability to build, motivate and inspire teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners, and to work with a high degree of independence and accountability.
- Effective people and relationship management skills, consulting and negotiation skills, interview skills and demonstrated evidence of influence when negotiating.
- Ability to build relationships and work with stakeholders from different areas, with different agendas; consensus builder; creates engagement without alienation.
- Project management skills with the ability to execute people planning initiatives in digital environment.
- Familiarity with Google Suites products (Google Calendar, Gmail) and Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Valid driver’s licence in Ontario
