Fuel Transport is expanding rapidly and looking for a Logistic Account Specialist for our office located in LaSalle. The person selected will be responsible to maintain and grow client and carrier relationships and successfully manage logistics capacity.

Job Summary:

• Establish a carrier base for new and existing accounts.
• Maintain and grow relationships with carriers to move freight as per client’s needs.
• Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the best course of action, implementing solutions for gain of efficiency.
• Constant contact with existing and new carriers to determine availability and negotiate transportation rates.
• Maximize partnership, efficiency utilizing analytics and evaluate profits as per market fluctuations.
• By nurturing strong carrier relationships, generate leads for future client identification.
• Research and understand market trends, changes and seasonality as per type of industry.
• Price negotiation for 3PL services.
• Communicate with clients and carriers daily to negotiate rates plan movement.
• Follow-up that services purchased are rendered.
• Work in tandem with the internal team members to ensure client satisfaction.

Education & Qualifications:

• Experience (2-5 years) in logistic movements coordination.
• Bachelor’s Degree or College Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Bilingual, written and spoken, French and English.The requirement of another language is required for this position as the candidate will be required to interact and communicate with clients, suppliers and colleagues throughout North America.
• Microsoft Office (niveau intermédiaire).
• Microsoft Office (Intermediate level).
