FusionTech Telecommunications is looking for fibre optic cable outside General Labouresr.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform various manual labour tasks related to telecommunication construction;
• Experience operating a mini-excavator
• Must have G Licence in good standin

• Use rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows
• Operate various hand tools
• Operate small excavating equipment

• Complete accurately all work reports;
• Regularly perform Health & Safety inspection of equipment and tools;
• Maintain clean and safe work sites and vehicles;

• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Foreman;

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail;
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions;
• Ability to work with professionalism, interact politely with customers and the public, and demonstrate excellent work ethic;
• Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere, must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs;
• Ability to operate various small equipment in a safe manner;
• Must be able to work up to 10 hour days plus drive time
• Must be a self-disciplined, motivated, organized, and a team player;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
• Must be able to travel to out-of-town jobs (overnight per diem provided)
• Must join Liuna Local 183 – union

Experience:

• General civil construction experience
• Experience operating excavating equipment (e.g. mini backhoe, excavator

• Telecommunications infrastructure experience is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
