Gabby’s Classroom Educational Services Looking for Lead Teacher at Vancouver, BC Full Time

Gabby’s Classroom is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Lead Teacher with experience supporting both teachers and students. The candidate should have a wealth of experience teaching elementary age ranges and some high school experience would be an asset. We are looking for a confident leader who is passionate about education and can join us longer term as we continue to develop our services in the Vancouver area.

Our individualized programs offer support for students looking to improve their academic skills in English and Math, as well as preparing students for private school readiness assessments and interviews. The Lead Teacher provides support to our students and teachers as well as support with administrative tasks, curriculum writing, marketing, and general day to day management.

Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following skills:

✓ Holds a University Degree (Required)

✓ Holds a Degree in Education (Required)

✓ Holds a BC Teaching License (Preferred)

✓ Willing to provide a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (Required)

✓ ESL Certification (Preferred)

✓ Experience with students Grades K-7 in a teaching / tutoring environment (Required)

✓ Experience with students in high school (Preferred)

✓ Excellent written and oral communication skills in fluent English (Required)

✓ Experience following and creating curriculum plans (Preferred)

✓ Enthusiastic and outgoing personality

✓ Highly organized, flexible, and reliable

✓ Willingness to take on a range of administrative tasks

✓ Available on weekdays (1:30-8:30) and one weekend day (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) (Required)

✓ Available for in-person classes in the Vancouver area (Required)

✓ Experience managing a teaching team (Required)

✓ Minimum 3 years teaching experience in an educational setting (Required)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
