Sales Manager ( Regional) Description
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the West Coast Region (BC, AB, WA, OR and AK). Gantrex is the global market leader for the production, distribution, installation, and maintenance of quality track solutions. Gantrex products are used for a variety of applications and markets, including ports, shipyards, steel mills, aluminum smelters, railway depots and heavy industry. Regional Sales Manager will be responsible to continue our exemplary reputation of quality customer service throughout their region.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
The Regional Manager is responsible for managing an existing customer base and developing new customer’s and opportunities in crane runways parts and services. Understands all of the technical aspects of the equipment to discuss its integration in customer’s operation or production. His / Her duties include providing application expertise, explaining product features to customers during live presentation and negotiates contract terms. The Regional Sales Manager will work directly with the National Sales Manager, Project Managers and Installation Managers to ensure projects are executed to the best possible outcome.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Meet and justify yearly turnover and margin targets.
– Draft and update reports on activity and projects in your market.
– Manage and develop a clients’ portfolio in industrial sectors such as steel, cement, port, heavy industries, handling machines, constructors, tramways, automated storage
– Ensure the promotion and develop the sales of new products designed and developed by the group, in particular activities
– Analyze the clients’ needs and offer technical solutions that meet their requests, in collaboration with the Project Manager, and if needed with the help of other internal departments.
– Draft complete commercial offers and check the profitability of the project.
– Sales and Marketing of all Gantrex services and products.
– Establish customer rapport, acceptance and secure orders.
– Provide customer support to plan product customization
– Prepare required reports and administrative paperwork
– Travel as required to cover existing customers and develop a new customer base in the assigned region.

Competencies/ Profile
Ideal Incumbent has the following qualifications
– BS, BA or HS diploma with 10+ years’ experience.
– Education – Mechanical or Electrical experience a plus
– Prior rail, overhead crane or hoist experience a plus
– Languages – English Proficiency, any other language a plus
– IT – MS Office, ability to use an ERP System
– 4 to 5 years’ experience in large industrial equipment industry required.
– Familiarity with the Mechanical, Structural, or Civil engineering/components of the electrical driven equipment is a plus.
– – Ability to read and understand machinery, structural and electrical drawings,
– Skills customer supplied specifications, codes, and industry standards required.
– Effective oral and written communications skills required.
– Proficiency with the MS Office Suite and other desktop or web-based applications.
– Ability for problem-solving and to build client relationships.
– Good presentation skills to convey product features and value.
– Strong communication skills.

– Remote
Work – Position will be based at home. Remote Work policy will apply.
– Travel – Travel and proper documentation are required. Must have a Passport or the ability to obtain a Passport.
