Our Brantford facility is looking for a Product Coordinator (fluid power) who will be reporting to Product Line Manager. Please review below to see if this might be the right opportunity for you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate internal sales and customer service functions pertaining to Fluid Power Industrial accounts. Provide technical expertise to distribution base. Frequently establishes and quotes products to maintain profit/budget objectives.

Scope of Role

Reports to the Product Line Manager

• Coordinates internal sales and marketing functions for Industrial Aftermarket and OEM divisions
• Provide technical expertise and pricing for hydraulic, automotive and industrial hose products
• Work closely with CSRs, field sales and BDM
• Issue and maintain price lists, net price files/ quotes and product notices within specified time frame
• Prepare quotes, correspondence and communicate with customers and internal departments via phone and email
• Complete competitive product interchanges and research
• Update, cancel and set up new product in the AS400 system
• Issue returns and assist with QA including creating EQIMs when necessary for any defective goods

Education and Experience

• Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business or alternatively 5 years of experience in a technical role preferably within the Fluid Power market.

Required Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be able to interpret automotive, hydraulic and industrial hose drawings/schematics.
• Excellent analytical skills and communication skills with customers and associates at all levels
• Must be organized, able to multitask and balance heavy workloads
• Ability to read and converse in French is an asset, but not a requirement
• Advanced Computer skills including MS Office products and able to perform mainframe querie

Physical Demands

While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit; use hands to reach, handle, manipulate and feel objects, tools and controls. The employee will need to listen and talk to other employees. Specific vision capabilities required as the employee is to work in front of a computer on a day to day basis.

Minimal Travel may be required

Working Environment

Within the Brantford office, the noise level is moderate, lighting is mild and the space is comfortable. Dust levels are nonexistent. The temperature is always consistent in keeping the employees comfortable. Conditions may vary when travelling to other Gates or Customer locations.
