SKID STEER OPERATOR
GCS is looking for a Skid Steer Operator for work in Edmonton. This position supports HDD drilling work to upgrade fibre service in residential areas of Edmonton.

RESPONSIBILITIES*
To provide some idea of the tasks you may be performing, a list of responsibilities may include:

• The work scope is backfilling and moving materials for HDD Drilling (fibre) construction;
• Must be willing to perform manual labour as required;
• Executing field projects according to instructions provided by the client, project manager and the field supervisor with minimal supervision;
• Must be able to read locates and drawings;
• Work with minimal supervision and direction;

• Execute work in a safety conscious manner;
• Complete all site documentation as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications for this project are a combination of skills and attitude:

• 3 years+ operator experience running skid steer;
• Labourer experience;

• Neat and diligent in maintaining equipment;
• Good judgement and problem-solving capacity;
• Fit to work in a rigorous environment;
• Ability to work in congested areas in residential neighbourhoods;

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• A valid Class 5 driver’s license;
• CSTS 2020 certification required
• Ground Disturbance Level 2 required
