Job Title: VP, Sales – Canada

Location: Markham, Ontario

We are seeking an experienced and strategic VP, Sales to lead and grow our sales operations in Canada. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, leading sales teams, and developing strong customer relationships. This role will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Canadian market.
• Set ambitious revenue and growth targets and create a roadmap to achieve them.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and guidance to sales managers and representatives to meet and exceed targets.

Business Development:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales and other departments.

Performance Metrics:

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on sales team performance.
• Implement data-driven strategies to optimize sales processes and enhance efficiency.
• Take proactive measures to address any deviations from sales targets.

Compliance and Ethics:

• Ensure that all sales activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
• Promote a culture of integrity and compliance within the sales team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in sales and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience (MBA preferred).
• Proven track record of at least 10 years in progressively more senior sales leadership roles.
• Extensive experience in business to business (B2B) sales, preferably in Technology/Software, Software as a Service (SaaS), Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS), or related industry.
• Strong understanding of the Canadian market and business landscape including regional dynamics, cultural nuances, and industry trends.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making is vital for optimizing sales processes, forecasting accurately, and identifying areas for improvement Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
