Located in our Montreal office, the HR Generalist contributes to GeoComply’s success by managing and executing on key HR operations to drive overall employee engagement and performance across our North American offices. Working closely with the HR team, this position ensures that all HR administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs are completed to agreed-upon standards and expectations. The HR Generalist is an important member of the team to build the company’s employer brand and in developing and promoting our culture and values.
What You Will Be Doing
Assist with the overall onboarding process and new hire experience across North America
Maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures related (but not limited) to day-to-day expectations, employee conduct, and performance expectations and management; develop new handbooks and policies/procedures as required; plan and facilitate regular training and rollouts
Assist with administration of compensation and benefits plans
Responsible for all employment agreement and independent consultant contract management and administration, and employee documentation
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legal requirements, including Health & Safety legislation
Facilitate all exit and off-boarding processes and procedures
Support Training and Development Lead with development and implementation of various training modules for management and employees
Direct training programs for employees, coordinating time and gaining approval from Managers in relation to other deliverables and commitments
Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of test, assessments and / or re-training requirements in the HRIS
Assist all members of the HR team with special projects and initiatives, including employee engagement projects, employer branding, succession planning, reporting and performance measurements, etc.
Develop standard processes for all HR functions; ensure all manuals, policies and technical documentation related to HR department are developed and maintained
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s technologies, process and teams
Understand the company’s goal and purpose and continually enhance the company’s performance.
About You
Previous experience working in a technology company is a requirement
Minimum 3 years as an HR Generalist; previous experience working in a start-up/high-growth environment is an asset
Post-Secondary degree, preferably with a focus in Human Resources; CHRP Designation preferred
In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety, Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation
Excellent oral and written English Communication Skills; Proficiency in French is an asset
Ability to work with teams across various offices, providing a high level of support across different cultures and perspectives
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop trusting relationships with management and employees
Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
Adaptable, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
