Who we are

The International Misericordia Family (IMF) is a Catholic Church mission. Since its inception, in 1848 by their foundress Rosalie Cadron-Jetté, the IMF’s vocation has been to help pregnant mothers living through a difficult and distressing maternity. In an ecumenical movement, the IMF community is looking for that special person who wishes to join this spiritual family.

The mandate is to continue to grow the 175-year legacy of the Charism’s three keys of spirituality, and fraternity, while raising awareness of the foundress and committing to living and perpetuating the Charism of Mercy in the footsteps of its foundress. The community has a spiritual and humanitarian component requiring excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Short overview of responsibilities

The chosen candidate, a Development and Liaison Agent, will work under the supervision of the Executive Director and be responsible for the following:

• assist and support the Executive Director
• implement the Family Council decisions
• contribute to the development of the IMF
• serve as the resource person for the English and Spanish-speaking members whose mission is, and has always been, to help mothers going through a difficult and distressing maternity often under extenuating circumstances

Wage and working hours

The part-time position (4 days per week) sometimes requires participation and representation of the IMF at various weekday (evening) and weekend events when necessary. The hourly wage ranges from $28.30 to $35.10, depending on experience, and employee benefits are offered.
