Job Overview

As the Communications Specialist you will build awareness of changes and projects within the Company by creating and distributing executive messages, preparing presentations and internal memos, and conducting meetings to share information and ensuring effective change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist to create the company communication strategy and create communication medium content as per plan.
• Develop print materials and branding strategies for employee use internally and externally to represent the company brand.
• Create Town Hall material/decks and Director meeting presentations.
• Create CEO company updates to generate positive buzz.
• Plan and execute initiatives that foster employee engagement and contribute to building a supportive work culture, such as team-building activities, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms.
• Work with other areas of the business on their communication strategies to ensure consistency across the organization.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition Managers to devise branding strategies aimed at attracting top-tier talent.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and organize programs in line with Company objectives and values, developing messages and creating/coordinating events with Marketing.
• Facilitate external PR for Give & Go and the development of relationships with external contacts.
• May plan events and press conferences/external branding or communication.
• Manage media inquiries as applicable.
• Coordinate external and internal communications flow (memos, newsletters etc.)
• Manage our career site communication.
• Act as an ambassador for Give & Go, representing a professional image and continuing to build the company brand.
• Co-lead the design and maintenance of content within the Give & Go intranet site and other social media boards including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Viva Engage, and SharePoint, engaging with other Stakeholders as required.
• Ensure timeliness of communication and creativity to capture engagement and build a culture of transparent communication, building a strong EVP for the Company.
• Participate in social events through leadership and organization.

Recipe for Success

• Completion of university degree in Communications or a related field
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong agility to adapt to changing priorities, and managing work under tight deadlines.
• Must be a self-starter, highly focused, proactive, and passionate individual that thrives on delivering creative and unique results.
• Ability to collaborate with C-suite and senior leadership to craft strategic communications for internal and external audiences, including keynotes, video messages, presentations, and written announcements.
• Ability to translate content into stories, positioning the messaging in a way that engages staff.
• Ability to develop engaging PowerPoint presentations for varied audiences.
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with organizational goals and target audiences.
• Strong writing and editing skills to create compelling content across various formats, and voice, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating self-sufficiency to engage across the organization in the hunt for news stories.
• Proficiency in leveraging digital platforms to create graphic and visual content for social media channels to engage audiences, drive brand awareness, and monitor online reputation.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), HootSuite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, SharePoint, and Movavi.

What We Offer

• Salary Range: $63,000 – $75,000
