What is the GlenOak SOAR Program?
The SOAR Program is a highly specialized and individualized, community-based, collaborative alternative education program. It is designed to re-engage Indigenous students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 with their learning and provide programming options that may not otherwise be offered in the public education system. This program reconnects students with their culture, teaches essential social skills, and provides a supportive learning environment to bridge any existing learning gaps. The goal of the program is to get students back on track with their studies so they can successfully and confidently meet the demands of the mainstream system upon their return.
