FINANCE MANAGER- MEMBERSHIP REVENUE AND TREASURY
Who is a Finance Manager- Membership Revenue and Treasury?
The Finance Manager – Membership Revenue & Treasury has formal ownership of budgeting, and providing selected reporting for all membership revenue-related requirements for GoodLife Fitness. As a key subject matter expert, this person will act as the primary support person within Finance for senior operations stakeholders with the primary objective of maximizing total membership revenue generated through all sales channels. Additionally, this person will have ownership of all corporate treasury functions and related reporting, cash management/ forecasting and balance sheet forecasting.
The Finance Manager – Membership Revenue & Treasury will provide impactful analysis and decision support (both directly and via output from his or her direct reports) for the GoodLife Senior Management team, related predominantly to membership revenue, but also to other elements of the business as required.
What will you be doing?
Finance Department owner for development, maintenance and ongoing review and analysis of all membership revenue (and related) budget line items in relation to actual monthly financial performance
Analysis, and tracking/reporting related to total and active paying member counts and various revenue per existing & new member metrics
Lead and/or oversee other Finance/Accounting Associates in providing data, analysis and decision support for new pricing/products/services
Manage quarterly and other ad-hoc budget reviews/analysis with assigned business stakeholders as needed in order to drive financial performance improvements.
Lead/direct all required activities related to the management of our banking/lending relationships with respect to financial reporting, and cash management and related activities
Cash flow and balance sheet forecasting for both internal and external stakeholders as required.
Act as Finance department lead on any company refinancing initiatives
Work with Analytics team as needed to provide data and insights related to membership revenue/pricing/member behavior, and scope and deliver effective Executive and Management-level reporting related to membership revenue/membership sales metrics based upon effective needs analysis/requirements gathering.
Effectively manage workload and prioritization of tasks for yourself and direct reports
Create, maintain, and continually follow up on compelling and action-oriented development plans for direct reports
Developing and mentoring direct reports and more junior members of the Finance and Accounting teams
Do you have what it takes?
Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience with a concentration in Business Administration/Finance
Minimum 7 years previous work experience in a mid to senior level Finance/Accounting/Data Analytics capacity
Strong knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office suite, with very high proficiency in Excel critical
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in analysis of large and disparate data sets and applying formal research and statistical analysis methods to business problems/opportunities
Familiarity with commercial online banking platforms
Strong understanding of all corporate accounting principles/practices and thorough understanding of balance sheet and cash flow drivers/dynamics
Demonstrated proficiency in development of effective predictive financial models
High level of motivation, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
Superior verbal and written communication skills; exceptional analytical skills and business acumen
Customer service/stakeholder focused, flexible, and willing to learn and grow
Proficiency in the use of computers for E-mail and Internet.
