Title
We are looking to hire a machine operator who is mechanically experienced and will be responsible for production of corrugated boxes in accordance with the specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate flexographic printing and slotting machine.
- Prepare the machine for the run as advised by the factory supervisor.
- Fill ink buckets for printing units.
- Perform continuous check during the run and ensure zero errors during the entire run.
- Monitor ink viscosity and ensure correct match of ink as required on the boxes.
- Washing and uninstalling print plates after the run.
- Instruct apprentices who will be assisting the machine operator.
- Making samples.
- Performing inventory counts.
- Duties and responsibilities will change as required and will be assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Qualifications
- Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Preference will be given to those who have worked in a corrugated box manufacturing unit.
- Detailed-oriented with good hand eye coordination and verbal skills.
- Must be and excellent team player.
- Experience on forklift is an asset.
- Must be able to lift 25 kgs or more.
