The Opportunity
Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Daikin Area Sales Office Manager position for our Sales Operations group located at our Markham, ON branch. This role provides sales support for Daikin all products and customers (Rep’s, VRV Pro’s/Contractors, Distribution (ID & COD) and Daikin Comfort Pro Dealers) and outside sales staff. The scope of responsibility encompasses responding to customer inquiries, order processing, quoting and general project management & coordination for Daikin VRV, Unitary, Light Commercial and Ductless RA/QA products. The ASOM will be responsible for managing inventory levels including ROP’s within their location. May include, in addition to;
Responsible for servicing key Daikin contractor customers (DCP, VRV-Pro, 3D)
Responsible for servicing Reps, Independent Distribution and Goodman Company Owned Distribution within assigned area related to all Daikin equipment.
Responsible for setting and maintaining appropriate inventory levels within location ensuring achievement of all related KPI’s.
Maintain and improve personal sales and business expertise.
Work with ASM’s, CSM’s and TSM’s to resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service around Daikin branded products.
Determine price schedules and discount rates for all Daikin equipment.
Review operational records and reports to project sales and profitability.
Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
Prepare Daikin Office Budget and attainment of sales targets and controllable expenses to achieve overall financial metrics
Confer or consult with department heads to plan advertising services and to secure information on equipment and customer specifications.
Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment to purchase.

Works within well defined instructions.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and CRM.
High level of understanding the business needs of an HVAC contractor.
Ability to read specs and drawings to create submittals and takeoffs
