Goodmans LLP Looking for Coordinator, Billings at Toronto, ON Full Time

We are currently seeking a Coordinator, Billings. This position reports to the Team Leader, Billings, is an integral part of our dynamic Finance team.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Processing invoices accurately and in a timely manner;
• Ensuring all e-billing transactions, including invoice submissions, rate uploads, accruals, invoice rejections, and other issues, are addressed and resolved in a timely manner;
• Responding to and resolving queries on the billing and e-billing processes;
• Working collaboratively with the team to prioritize work and meet predefined deadlines;
• Reviewing client billing guidelines and ensuring compliance, including special rates and billing requirements;
• Testing and evaluating the new billing system to ensure a successful implementation;
• Evaluating and implementing procedures to maximize efficiencies and ensure high level of client service;
• Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner;
• Preparing financial reports for clients, lawyers and management as requested;
• Providing assistance to others during absences as needed; and
• Completing special projects as requested, and other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses:

• Post secondary education in accounting related field.
• 2+ years previous experience performing in a similar role required; preferably in a professional services environment.
• Well-versed in industry standard billing policies, systems and controls.
• Knowledge of and experience with invoicing software, including e-billing systems preferred.
• Experience in system implementation or process improvements preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent client service skills required to build and maintain client relationships.
• Confident and effective results driven individual with strong analytical, problem solving and attention to detail skills.
• Experience in high volume, fast-paced billing environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to be effective and prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills, a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a team player with excellent client service skills.
