Position Summary:
The Senior HR Analyst, Compliance and Employment Programs is responsible for the design and delivery of HR solutions and programs to ensure compliance for both Gordon Food Service and affiliated Specialty Companies. This role collaborates closely with both HR business partners, and HR shared service teams.
What You’ll Do:

Lead the creation, storage, communication, approval process, translations, and annual sign-off of company policies and Code of Conduct.

Analyze data from various sources, reports, etc. to create business-facing deliverables, presentations, etc. with meaningful insights.

Manages employment equity compliance through the development of appropriate Employment Equity plans, training, communication, analysis, annual government reporting, and all other federal contractor regulations

Conduct audits on employment practices and processes.

Evaluate, develop, and implement HR Compliance programs to protect and decrease organizational risk.

Review pending and current federal, provincial, and/or local laws related to HR practices and manage the implementation, communication, and tracking in accordance with the law.

Manage projects ensuring timely execution, analyzing business needs, preparing project plans and deliverables, and implementing accordingly.

Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:

Analytics skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.).

Project management experience
-
Experienced in overseeing projects with multiple stakeholders while being a self-starter.

Professional agility
-
Comfort in working independently one day, and leading presentations the next.

Detailed and organization oriented
-
Ability to manage multiple projects, requests, etc. while keeping all stakeholders informed and up to date.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
-
Human Resources Management Certification Preferred (CHRM, CHRL)
-
Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources, Compliance, Audit, or other related area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
-
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English is required, and fully bilingual in French/English is preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
-
Vocational – knowledge of industry trends and developments. Knowledge of employment-related laws in Canada, compliance, employment equity programs, and reporting, and general HR practices and protocols.

Mathematical – knowledge of basic statistical math with the ability to create mathematical formulas within Microsoft Excel or other systems to support data analysis.

Reasoning – ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives. Strong analytical skills to audit and verify compliance data and offer solutions.

Communication – ability to communicate in written and verbal formats to convey information in formal public speaking and informal conversational communication.

Human Relations – Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers; ability to coach and motivate others to support divisions with compliance matters.

Self-Management – Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently to achieve results.

Knowledge of human resource laws and employment practices.

Advanced knowledge of google sheets (ie pivot tables, reporting, and macros)
Equipment / Tools / Technology:

Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Google applications equivalents
-
HRIS software applications (Workday, etc.)
