We are looking for a Director, Supply Chain (Truck and Trailer Parts Operations) to work out of our Kitchener or Mississauga locations.

Position Summary:
This role is a strategic position in the Company, providing vision and direction for supply chain operations, including but not limited to procurement, selection of vendors, inventory control, warehousing, forecasting, capacity planning and sourcing, financial costing, and logistics planning. The successful candidate will lead the business strategies to enable efficient supply chain operations, support business needs, and achieve the organization’s goals for expansion and significant planned future growth. You have a high standard of ethics, professional conduct, and integrity in both management of supplier and internal customer relationships, with a successful career in supply chain management and leadership.

Responsibilities:
- Manage supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
- Devise effective procurement and sourcing strategies, supplier scorecards, initiate business and organizational parts OE and Warehouse Distributor relationships, and negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms for our customers.
- With support from internal Lean Master Black Belt personnel, develop and implement effective systems and processes using LEAN methods throughout the supply chain organization.
- Leverage internal analytics dashboards to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance.
- Review analytics, KPI’s and scorecards to identify exceptions in data and take timely action for improvement.
- Develop a LEAN culture within the department resulting in achievement of KPI’s and financial performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and deliver desired specifications and expectations.
- Coach and mentor direct reports, fostering teamwork for successful department operations.
- Lead interpersonal communications, negotiations, project management, and department planning.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business and/or Supply Change Management
- Hands-on experience, knowledge and understanding of truck & trailer parts and components is a core requirement
- Knowledge of key truck/trailer parts and components suppliers is a core requirement
- Knowledge of truck/trailer parts market segment
- Certified or working towards Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) an asset
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in a supply chain role, including 5+ years of relevant management experience preferably in the transportation maintenance field, working with commercial truck and trailer, and related parts
- Familiarity with Lean principles an asset
- Experience reviewing and analyzing financial reports and results
