We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to work out of our Kitchener, Ontario location. If you are ready for your next challenge, we want to hear from you.
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements and providing monthly results analyses. This position will be actively involved in the development of budgets and monthly forecasts and will play an essential role in reporting and controlling internal cost control projects. Various complex ad hoc reports and analyses will be an integral part of the position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and development of budgets, forecasts, analyses, and financial statements for various legal entities and departments within the organization.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures.
- Process all key financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and/or review journal entries.
- Preparation of trial balance reconciliations.
- Participate in 3rd party audit preparation and execution.
- Assist in inventory counts and other internal audit activities.
- Assist with cost accounting activities.
- Assist with the maintenance of fixed asset registers and fixed asset accounting.
- Manage and prioritize workloads and actively participate in process improvements within the Finance department.
- Execute other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- CPA Designation is required, 2+ years post certification.
- Public Practice Accounting experience is highly valued.
- Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks concurrently.
- Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
- Solid teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with peers.
- Proficiency level knowledge with MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of MS Access and Power BI an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central Accounting system an asset.
