We currently have an exciting one-year term opportunity for you to explore as Workplace Education & Training Coordinator based in the Cape Breton Region (Truro).
About Our Opportunity
As the Workplace Education & Training Coordinator, a key part of your role will be working in partnership with business, industry, labour and educational practitioners to support the skill development and training needed to succeed in our competitive and ever-changing workforce.
This position reports to the Manager, Workplace Education & Training in the Workplace Initiatives Division.
Primary Accountabilities
Qualifications And Experience
As the ideal candidate, you have education and progressive work experience in education and training instruction, including curriculum development and lesson planning. This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a university degree (preference will be given to Education) with 5 years related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, where applicable.
As the successful candidate you have significant skills and experience building partnerships and working directly with businesses, business associations, and industry sectors. You demonstrate knowledge of adult education principles and practices necessary to support program and project planning, monitoring and evaluation.
You also have effective interpersonal, communication, public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills. You exercise good judgment, diplomacy, and tact. You have experience and working knowledge of business, industry, and labour needs.
As the ideal candidate you have well-defined research and report writing skills. You work well independently and as part of a team valuing an inclusive workplace, and a demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines. You have knowledge and experience with general office software is required (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, Internet etc.).
We will assess the above qualifications using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Additional Information
This is a full-time, Term status position with an end date of January 31, 2025, however the position status (“term”, “temporary” or “casual”) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
What We Offer
Pay Grade: PR 13
Salary Range: $2,543.38 – $3,091.70 Bi-Weekly
