Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways, Operation and Maintenance Division, is seeking an individual to fill an Equipment Operator position for the Caribou Creek Section. This is a labour service position.
As a member of the Section Crew, you will operate, service and maintain heavy equipment such as tandem trucks with hydrodrum, spinner and snowplow attachments, motor graders and front-end loaders. You will perform various highway maintenance functions in the summer and snow and ice removal in the winter months. You will keep records and logs of hours of operation, repairs and amounts of materials applied to highways. In the absence of the supervisor, you may be assigned supervisory responsibilities.
You will work under extreme and changing climate conditions and must be willing to travel and work flexible hours. You must be able and willing to work in physically-demanding conditions and perform physical labour, heavy lifting and climbing. As a member of a team who ensures public safety, you will have the opportunity to work with new and advanced technologies and equipment.
To qualify for this position, you must hold a valid Class 3A license.
