The Opportunity
The Public Employees Benefits Agency (PEBA) is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Senior Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance and Corporate Services team.
The Senior Financial Analyst Position is instrumental in the development, reporting and analysis of PEBA’s budget and forecast. This position will work directly with PEBA management in collecting, analysing and reporting on the annual budget for the revolving fund and all the pension and benefit plans that PEBA administers.
In addition, this position will prepare all formal presentations to the various pension and benefit Boards and Commissions on their annual budget and forecast. As such, this position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal Candidate
Typically, the successful candidate for this position will have:
A Chartered Professional Accounting Designation (CPA; CPA, CA; CPA, CMA; CPA, CGA) or in the final stages of receiving a designation;
A minimum of three years’ work experience working in a financial analyst position, specifically working with budgeting and forecasting; and
Experience in a fast-paced, challenging environment with tight deadlines.
