The Transportation Engineering Branch is responsible for the planning, design, rehabilitation and construction of different highways, bridges and transportation infrastructure throughout Yukon. There are currently approximately 90 people working at the Branch; we’re a diverse group of people who truly enjoy working together. The work is fast paced, varied and there isn’t a lot of downtime – even in the winter, as our planning and the majority of the design work is completed by our employees.
Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Programming, the Transportation Analyst is responsible to provide strategic guidance for the Branch in areas related to capital program planning, transportation planning and technology-based transportation infrastructure. The Analyst supports the prioritization of transportation investment decisions by identifying objectives, gathering information, considering options and recommending potential solutions. The Analyst may be involved in leading the delivery of key planning projects for the branch, often multi-disciplinary in nature.
