Grader Operator (7×7) job at Fairview, Alberta, Canada Full Time

Salary Range: $42/Hour + Over-time ($49/hr over a 12 hour day)

For our client, a busy Mine Operation located in Chetwynd, BC (Drive to site location only). Our client operates on a 7×7 schedule. We require an experienced Grader Operator (16M preferred). We are looking to have someone start early next week.

Pay rates are $42/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day (work weeks are 12 hours per day x 7 days), you are required to drive to site and we cover mileage. Living accommodations and food allowance included. (rates include Vacation Pay and Stat Holidays). Due to the contract nature of this position, we can only offer this position if you are NOT currently working.

We are looking for those individuals with a strong work ethic and a good employment track-record and a demonstrated safety record

Main Accountabilities

• Operate heavy equipment machinery, particularly, the 16M Grader (however, other equipment experience such as Dozer, Excavator, Loader, a plus)
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.

Main Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment
• Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment
• Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
• Ability to work in harsh weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and with little supervision
• Previous fly-in/fly-out experience an asset
• Must be able to identify hazards and perform the role in a safe manner
• Must also possess an understanding of the issues regarding safety and the ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment

CERTIFICATIONS or Credentials

All of the below are assets to have – we will review on a case by case basis

• CSTS-09 or Other Safety Training
• Valid Class 5 license or related/equivalent with a clean drivers abstract
• Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 or related training
• Heavy Equipment Operators Certificate
