Grandview is a not for profit home known to support our community through our commitment to quality care and innovative support for both clients and our interdisciplinary team. In our 142 bed facility, care is provided in an enriched housing, an assisted living, and a nursing home setting

Position Summary:
We are seeking a HR Coordinator to join our team. They would be responsible for all Human Resource duties for all departments including education coordinator and WCB coordinator for the nursing department

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Hiring for all departments including managing hiring platforms, recruitment, arranging/conducting interviews and reference checks
• Required to attend and record all disciplinary and termination meetings with department managers
• Conducts quarterly Attendance Management Reports for all departments
• Responsible to conduct Attendance Management meetings with the Nursing department
• Coordinates all onboarding activities and facilitates general orientation of new employees and coordinates orientation schedules with scheduler
• Maintains Information and Workforce systems throughout the employee life cycle including system initiation, resignations, terminations, and status changes according to established procedures
• Helps to establish and maintain policies and procedures relating to Human Resources.
• Acts as point of contact for all employee requests for information and additional support on scheduling and human resource issues
• Follows established procedures for all internal job postings and associated employee assignments
• Maintains personnel files in accordance to Labor standards and DHW licensing requirements
• Ensure eligible employees are enrolled in appropriate benefits and Pension programs
• Recommends and implements process and system improvements
• Responsible to coordinate education sessions with scheduler as directed by DOC, ADOC, and IPAC Nurse
• Manages all Nursing WCB claims as primary contact and works with physio team, WCB team, and other professionals for RTW plans both external and internal to GVM

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent with diploma in human resources, office administration, records management, or other business related field
• Strong computer application skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling software would be highly preferred
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
