THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
We offer a variety of student positions, each providing opportunities to get real-world, on-the-job training and experience that will help you prepare for what’s next in your career. GSC is searching for a student to join the Drug Special Authorization Processing team.
Students participate in meaningful work by entering data after evaluating drug prior authorization application based on specified clinical criteria. Student roles at GSC have strong connection to great customer service and efficient computer skills.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Strong computer skills, including typing skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts between the hours of 8:30am and 6:00pm.
Reliability and the ability to work independently.
To be eligible for our Student Program, you must have completed 1 year at a University or Community College on a full-time basis, as of May 2022 and must be returning to full-time attendance in September 2022. As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide your proof of enrollment. Full-time attendance at school is defined as 4 or more courses per semester. Students are eligible for up to three years of summer employment with GSC if they meet enrollment criteria.
The Student work term for 2022, includes: May through September, late December (during our shutdown period), and March Break 2023. All student applications are reviewed against a standard set of criteria. Select candidates will need to complete a skill assessment. These assessments may include (but are not limited to) industry testing and a preliminary interview at a third-party partner.

Background in health care benefit administration.
Pharmacy experience is considered an asset.
Medical terminology knowledge is considered an asset
