Greenhouse is seeking a passionate, disciplined, and entrepreneurial team player for the position of Director of Marketing. Reporting to our Co-Founder and CEO, the successful candidate will play a critical, cross-functional role: they will lead our small but mighty marketing team, develop and execute our marketing and innovation roadmap while developing new routes to market, bringing our omnichannel brand into its next phase of growth.
Greenhouse is a rapidly growing, vertically integrated early-stage business with national distribution. As it currently stands this role is remote, with some travel to our Mississauga production facility and Toronto company-owned stores required. A partial transition back into our downtown Toronto office may occur in the coming months.
Big Picture responsibilities will include:
Creating and implementing a comprehensive omnichannel growth roadmap with an emphasis on building sales in new markets and new channels, with new customers, and new products
Developing and refining the customer experience across all channels
Working with the Innovation team to develop new, high-potential product and category extensions, bring them to life through dynamic storytelling, and ensure they are performing
Building and executing our PR and influencer strategy
Working with Sales to support the development of sell stories for key customers
Supporting the rollout of an optimized 2.0 Loyalty program
Running the annual marketing calendar across owned channels
Monitoring the ROI of all campaigns and ensuring continuous improvement
Leading and mentoring our in-house marketing team with a high degree of dependability, organization, compassion, and respect
Ongoing responsibilities for the Director of Marketing will be:
Developing and refining the marketing vision and route-to-market strategy
Managing the marketing budget
Managing the marketing team; setting goals and ensuring execution on projects and deadlines
Leading early stages of ideation and market analysis for innovation of new products
Supporting internal strategy planning and communications
Determining the focus and measurements of success of each initiative or campaign
Ensuring that all marketing content and messaging aligns with our brand
Using analytics to aid in decision making and strategy development
Reviewing customer service reports and driving action from analysis
Keeping up to date with market trends and developments
Conducting market research on new geographies and customer segments
Desired Skills and Experience:
Passion, drive, and a positive attitude
5+ years in a marketing leadership role
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other relevant field
Excellent communication skills
Strong leadership capabilities and experience leading a team with multiple direct reports
Proven prior experience with go to market strategies
Extensive experience with digital marketing campaigns
Thorough knowledge of web analytics and ecommerce systems
Analytical skills that can translate data into effective strategy
Organized with strong project management capabilities
Experience in the food and beverage industry considered an asset
