Job Title: Tank Superintendent

Job Summary:

The Tank Superintendent will be responsible for supervising and coordinating a crew of various craft skills (i.e. welders, crane operators, structural fitters, laborers, etc.) in overseeing various aspects of the field erection of above-ground storage tanks, including new construction and repairs for the petrochemical and refinery industry. They will be responsible for ensuring that all tanks are properly constructed, repaired, and maintained according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate a crew of various craft skills in the field erection of above-ground storage tanks, including new construction and repairs for the petrochemical and refinery industry.
• Ensure that all tanks are properly constructed, repaired, and maintained according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the scheduling, planning, and coordination of tank-related activities with other departments and contractors.
• Ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and procedures.
• Prepare reports, maintain records, and provide progress updates to management as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in tank construction and maintenance, including field erection of above-ground storage tanks.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of various craft skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for tank construction and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
