Position Overview:
The Shop Foreman will oversee the daily operations of our client’s machinery workshop, including the maintenance, repair, and servicing of agricultural equipment. The successful candidate will lead a team of skilled technicians, fostering an environment of teamwork, high performance, and continuous improvement. This role is suited for a leader who excels in a fast-paced environment and is committed to upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and supervise the workshop team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring all machinery and equipment operate at optimal performance.
- Oversee inventory management of parts and supplies, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures within the workshop, promoting a safe work environment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, facilitating ongoing training and development.
- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Manage customer relations by ensuring high standards of service and addressing any issues with professionalism and urgency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shop Foreman or in a similar leadership role within the agricultural or related industries.
- Strong mechanical background with in-depth knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
