YOUR ROLE
As a legal assistant in litigation, you will work as a team with professionals in their mandates.
Among your responsibilities, your tasks will include
– Preparing standard civil litigation procedures;
– Transcribing dictations;
– Maintaining the lawyers’ agenda and following up on deadlines;
– Reviewing documents and correspondence for compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage;
– Proofreading, editing and formatting documents;
– Manage contentious deadlines, perform calculations and scheduling;
– Prepare, edit and follow up on correspondence;
– Prepare client files (correspondence, supporting documents, etc.);
– Prepare client files (correspondence, vouchers, etc.); Open, file physically and electronically, follow up and organize files.
REQUIRED SKILLS
– Experience as a legal assistant in litigation
– Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
– Impeccable customer service
– Team player and good interpersonal skills
– Versatility, flexibility and attention to detail
