YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of trade payables, employee expense reports and lease payments. This is a hybrid opportunity out of our Surrey, BC office.

What To Expect

First 90 days:

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable functions
• Able to post timely and accurate payments to vendors and process cheque, bill payment, wire and EFT payments for multiple entities
• Solid understanding of company’s organization structure and GroupHEALTH family of companies
• Solid understanding of intercompany bill-back function
• Full understanding of the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies approval hierarchy
• Able to use accounting software to support business needs

First 6 months

• Full understanding of corporate purchasing policy

YOUR IMPACT

• Obtain approvals to pay invoices
• Code payable invoices
• Create new vendor codes and enter new vendor information in general payables
• Enter payables invoices and processing cheque, bill payment, wire and EFT payments
• Process monthly rent payments and invoices for multiple locations
• Process employee expenses
• Reconcile the corporate credit cards
• Compile spreadsheets for detailed payable invoices
• Correspond with vendors, partners, and employees

THIS IS YOU

• Certificate or diploma in Accounting or related work experience
• 3+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable Role or equivalent
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounting concepts
• Experience with multi-entity transaction postings
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups)
• Detail-oriented, accurate and ability to meet deadlines
• Able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening communication skills
• Proven understanding of accounts payable functions with an ability to problem solve proactively
• Excellent typing skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

THIS IS NICE

• Knowledge of Sage Intacct is preferable
