Job Title: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Location: Aveley
Salary: £30,000 per year

Are you an experienced and dedicated SENCO seeking a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs? Join our team in Aveley and play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. As a SENCO, you will lead our efforts in ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support and accommodations necessary for their success.
Key Responsibilities
- SENCO Leadership: As our SENCO, you will lead the Special Educational Needs department, collaborating with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to create effective support plans.
- Assessment and Identification: Utilise your expertise to assess and identify students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers to implement appropriate interventions.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to teaching staff on best practices for supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring a whole-school approach to inclusion.
- Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and monitor individualised education plans for students with special educational needs, regularly reviewing and updating plans based on student progress.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with external agencies, parents, and other stakeholders to create a network of support for students with special educational needs.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Proven experience in a SENCO role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
