Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Key Stages: Early years, Key stage 1, Key stage 2, Key stage 3, Key stage 4

Working Pattern: Full time – 32.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to ensure that pupils with a range of complex physical, medical, and learning needs have equal opportunities to access learning. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Implementing activities and interventions tailored to meet the personal needs of pupils.
• Managing pupil behavior in accordance with school policies.
• Providing general support to the class teacher in classroom management and organization.
• Creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment.
• Promoting the inclusion of all pupils, fostering an environment where every student can learn and develop.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, treating them with respect and consideration.
• Collaborating with families and other agencies to ensure each pupil receives valued, challenged, and supported learning experiences.
• Maintaining high expectations for academic and personal progress for every pupil.
• Taking responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
