Join Hall Constructors as an Accountant, Financial Planning & Analysis!
Your day-to-day will look like:
- Assist with all regular and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
- Collect, compile, verify and analyze financial information
- Collect data and prepare monthly reporting packages for leadership teams
- Compare budget and actual results by division, support analysis of same
- Prepare and consolidate financial forecasts and budgets
- Perform analysis of P&L accounts, investigate changes/issues, and drive resolution of all outstanding issues
- Perform ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators
- Analyze and review accounting transactions and their impact on financial reporting and analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Education: Post secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is considered an asset
Experience:
- Years of experience: A minimum of three years working in a financial planning & analysis role
- Technical skillset: MS Excel & PowerPoint required
- Considered an asset:
- SQL skills
- Microsoft Visual Basic skills
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Strong technical skills, financial modeling and analysis
- Strong working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling
- Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
- SQL skills would be considered an asset
- Experience working in a business support role with senior management teams
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize same
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, detailed oriented
- Ability to work independently and deliver results in a deadline driven environment
