Job Summary
Support the IT team in daily operations including customer service to internal stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supports all mobile hardware, iPad’s cell phone, software, and associated wireless infrastructure including Citrix and VPN.
Repairs computer hardware, printers and peripherals.
Sets up, configures, installs software on and tests new and reallocated computers.
Performs hardware moves and roll-outs, ensuring that proper inventory control procedures are followed.
Provides first level support for all software and hardware problems via phone, email, and counter.
Logs, monitors, resolves and escalates calls using the Service Desk software application (HEAT).
Connects remotely through SCCM to customer’s PC to resolve issues.
Maintains network accounts and Exchange accounts using Active Directory and Exchange.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
Three (3) year Community College or University Diploma in Computer Technology program.
In-depth knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365 and Microsoft Office 2016 Suite is mandatory.
Experience supporting various hardware and software in a networked environment.
Must possess proven customer service skills, have strong interpersonal skills, be an effective team player, and be experienced in conflict resolution and customer negotiation.
Preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange.
Previous experience using call tracking systems such as Heat.

Working Conditions
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. Training and relevant PPE will be provided.
The successful candidate will be made an offer of employment on condition that the Regional Municipality of Halton receives a current (obtained within the past six (6) months), original and acceptable Criminal Records Check, by the first day of employment. Travel will be required; incumbent must provide their own transportation. The incumbent will be required to provide a copy of their driver’s license and abstract by their first day of employment as they may be required to drive a regional vehicle.

Working hours: Flexibility in working hours different shifts 7:30-3:30, 8-4, 8:30-4:30, 9-5pm will be required.
Physical requirements: Must be able to perform all the necessary physical tasks associated with the position (lifting various computer equipment up to approximately 50lbs.)
