As part of its Container Terminal’s Intermodal Operations, Hamilton Container Terminal is looking for an Intermodal Logistics Coordinator to provide the required direction and efficiency to its Intermodal Operations. This is a progressive position offering a team environment and growth opportunities in the Group’s Operations.
- Ensure excellent coordination with Remote Operations to ensure proper planning and execution of jobs, as the “Go To” person for the Remote Office Dispatch Team Leads.
- Facilitate the Daily requirements of Intermodal Operations.
- Ensure order bookings and ratings are properly recorded and communicated to Dispatch teams as well as the HCT, HSL Accountant.
- Ensure the Owner Operator and Driver Agreements are provided to the assigned Accountant along with the Master Sheet for Trip rates.
- Assist the Acountant with any queries regarding Driver / Owner Operator Payroll or Customer Rating relevant to any specific job.
- Ensure that the operating system database is kept updated at all times by Operations and the Remote Office Team in real time.
- Follow the directives provided by the Business Development Director Intermodal Operations with regard to Operating Processes and ensure compliance and performance, including but not limited to: 1) Identification, deployment and utilization of Intermodal assets (chassis and trucks) 2) Effective utlization of drivers 3) Ensuring the design of all Safety requirements of Intermodal Operations and compliance thereof 4) Dispatch Directives and efficient Operational Planning 5) Ensuring the proper coordination and deliverables of Intermodal services as per job and quality requirements
- Ensure the development, documentation and implementation of SOPs for all Intermodal services of the Terminal.
- Assist in building the HCT Intermodal brand by ensuring efficient planning & execution of operations deliverables.
- Ensure the Operating compliance of Intermodal Services relevant to Transport Canada, CBSA, and Maritime regulations.
- Draw up and conduct regular audit programs for Intermodal Operations compliance and present the audit findings to the Business Development Director Intermodal Operations and the Group Board.
- Assist in deployment of all technology platforms used for Intermodal Operations of the Terminal and automation of processes.
- Assist Group Finance with Intermodal Asset requirements, allocation, utliization and maintenance information for Funds allocations and reporting.
- Conduct a periodic Intermodal Safety Audit and provide the Business Development Director (Intermodal Operations) and the Group Board with a Monthly Safety Audit report including a report of all safety risk incidents during the month with causes, costs associated with the incidents, impact on Operations, remedies and preventive systems implementation programs.
- Periodically engage an external MTO Safety audit program to certify the Safety standards of Intermodal Operations with respect to deployment of equipment, people and processes.
- Facilitate the technology deployment and automation of Maintenance alerts for all Intermodal assets.
- Play a key role in achievement of Intermodal Services’ Projected Performance and Budgets.
- Any other task that may be required for Intermodal Operations from time to time.

Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
