Hamilton Health Sciences Looking for Service Coordinator at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Full Time

The Service Coordinator is an assistive role to the Extensive Needs/Mi-Care Program Leadership Team and the McMaster Children’s Hospital/Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre Ambulatory Clinics. The Service Coordinator is responsible for the organization, coordination and procurement of equipment and supplies upon the direction from the Clinical Manager. The Service Coordinator works in collaboration with the clinical services, regional materials management, biomedical technology, and engineering and development to maintain a safe, logical environmental flow of equipment and supplies

• Grade 12 Diploma (academic level) and post-secondary Diploma/Certificate.
• Recent, relevant healthcare experience, preferably in a pediatric rehab setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office, Word, Excel, internet and Database applications.
• Demonstrated excellence in effective written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills within a professional environment.
• Demonstrated effective problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, with excellent organization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative, organize and establish priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in French will be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning.

Unit Summary

McMaster Children’s Hospital is the regional academic centre for pediatric acute care, rehabilitation, developmental and mental health services. The Extensive Needs/Mi-Care Program is comprised of Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and Ministry of Health (MOH) funded services for individuals up to the age of 18, whose needs cannot be met in a single service stream and requires an integrated approach across Mental, Behavioural and Developmental Health. The Extensive Needs/Mi Care Program supports a culture of innovation, family centered service and evidenced based interventions.

Schedule Work Hours

Monday to Friday, days. Some evenings or weekends maybe required.
