Job Function: Supply Chain Management

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Sales Marketing and Operations

Job Purpose:
The Logistics Specialist provides contract support for assigned teams and works with the team to support prime agreements, including the preparation, review, and organization of prime agreement files. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the ongoing administration and monitoring of prime agreements that will facilitate the availability of accurate records for management and team members.

Key Accountabilities:
Leading contract negotiations and term agreements and working with parties to address concerns and resolve disputes

Developing condition for bids, cost analysis, proposals, and contracts

Ensuring contracts and other documents comply with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards

Managing the bidding process between contractors and suppliers to secure the best offers

Coordinating contractual issues with a company’s procurement and legal teams

Ensuring contracts are reviewed and renewed before expiration dates

Maintaining records and filing systems for future reference on existing and new contracts, bids, and proposals

Assisting in maintaining SOPs with 3PL companies

Conducting cost analysis of several transportation companies for inbound and outbound shipments to select the most cost-effective option

Conducting cost analysis of 3PL companies for storage and inventory handling’s to select the most cost-effective option

Assisting in the bidding process, rates and tariff negotiations, shipping lines, customs brokers, couriers, and drayage companies to select the most optimized vendors in cost and service

Assisting in establishing and maintaining communication with 3PL companies, suppliers, trucking companies, customs brokers, sales forces, and customers involved in the logistics and transportation

Preparing and presenting logistics and transportation cost analysis and reports regularly and if needed, assisting with logistics and transportation budget preparation and administrator

Any other duties/responsibilities may be assigned by management

Level of Accountabilities:
Professional, individual contributor level position with impact on business-based decision making

Core Competencies:
Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, MS Outlook)

Knowledge of SAP

Qualifications:
University Degree or College Diploma required in Supply Chain Business Administration or other related disciplines

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a related field

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong understanding of legal and contractual language

Effective and clear communication, both written and spoken

Strong liaising and networking skills

Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative with good initiative

Strong organizational and time management skills

Accuracy, follow-through, and fine attention to detail, especially with writing and editing
