Director of Construction
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Construction to join our client’s team in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from concept to completion.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years extensive experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing complex projects. Along with a strong understanding of the local building codes and regulations. The Director of Construction will be responsible for overseeing the entire construction process, from planning and budgeting to project completion.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Develop and implement construction plans and schedules
- Monitor progress of projects to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget
- Ensure that all safety and quality standards are met
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years in the construction industry working in a leadership role
- Post-secondary degree in Construction Management or related field
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Pay Scale: This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
