Minimum 3 years work experience in a related field, Construction Project management experience in Residential Custom Homes. MUST live in Greater Vancouver.
Required skills
- degree (or equivalent) in Architecture, construction management, construction technology, engineering, or similar.
- Knowledge of BC building codes
- Robust understanding of building systems, building science, residential construction practices
- Ability to read blueprints (elevations, sections, and details)
- proficiency: Microsoft Office, sketchup & BLUE BEAM
- Ability to do costing, scheduling, prepare RFQs
- Able to do quantity take offs
- working knowledge of various construction disciplines, cost control, scheduling, engineering drawings
- superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential both within the internal project team and externally with subcontractors, labor force, etc.
- able to prioritize and meet critical deadlines independently with minimal supervision.
This is a position to help prepare Custom residential homes for construction, taking off quantities, organizing information, researching information from the internet and from sub contractors and suppliers.
